I’m focusing on the Dhal in this recipe because it is hands down, delish. This is a spin on my mom’s dahl recipe. She used yellow split peas but I use red lentils. They cook much faster and have a more creamy texture.

I wish you had suggestions on what seasoning goes with what dishes. I’ve used “House of the Rising Spice” “Berbere Ann” “Here Comes the Yum”. I have eight different ones. The ones I’ve used the flavors are awesome!!

Truly YUMMY

One of my absolute favorites. . Truly "yummy" and versatile. I use it to elevate simple vegetable stir fry. My ordinary stir fry becomes an exotic dish that brings compliments from picky eaters. Something magical happens with it mixes with tofu. This turmeric ginger spice also brings life to soups, whether vegetarian or chicken base. My family couldn't figure out how the bland soups I had been serving suddenly became so tasty…. because, “Here Comes the YUM” came.
